A reminder that I’m going to be at Capclave, September 27 through 29. The easiest way to find me is at the Rantings of a Wandering Mind table in the dealer room.
I’m also doing some programming and a reading, but won’t be at the signing table (except for the mass signing) because I figured I’d leave the limited slots to people who don’t have a dealer table.
Still making all kinds of plans for this fall. My next adventure after Capclave is the Fredericksburg Independent Book Festival, where I’ll have a table. Then the next day I fly out to St. Louis to visit my father-in-law and go hiking in southern Illinois.
Makes me feel richer than I am ;).
Reading some Alastair Reynolds right now as I have a short break between review copies. Currently Elysium Fire, the sequel to Aurora Rising (The Prefect) which is interesting, but I think I prefer the original.
As usual, the characters are mostly not very likable, but the world is great. I’ll probably have a review of this up on Tuesday. Just received review copies of Rainier’s Legacy (adult fantasy) and As the Sparrow Flies (YA fantasy).
I’d love to see you all at my reading on Sunday at Capclave at 11:30am. Just saying. Anyone ;). I’ll be reading from my nominated story because that’s the appropriate thing to do, although at that point I’ll likely officially have lost the award.
(Not that being nominated is ever losing).
